Mohegan to launch Kambi-powered PlayFallsview sportsbook in Ontario

Kambi will provide Mohegan Gaming and Entertainment’s PlayFallsview brand with its online sportsbook technology when it launches in Ontario.

Mohegan will launch a betting and gaming brand in Ontario, named after its Fallsview casino resort. The sportsbook for this brand will be provided by Kambi, featuring its ice hockey and bet builder products.

“The Canadian market, and Ontario in particular, is full of potential for Kambi and our partners so I am pleased to have agreed this partnership with Mohegan and its Fallsview online mobile brand.” Kambi chief executive Kristian Nylén said. “I look forward to the combination of our industry-leading mobile sportsbook and the prominent Fallsview name as together we bring players in Ontario all the excitement of single and in-game wagering along with the unrivalled bet combinability our sportsbook offers.”

Connecticut sports betting and igaming revenue both decline in February

Gross gaming revenue from online casino in Connecticut came to $17.2m, down 8.5% from January, while sports betting revenue hit its lowest total for a full month since launching.

Gross gaming revenue is calculated after promotions are deducted. Before these deductions, revenue was $21.6m, down 3.6%.

The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation – which operates Foxwoods Casino and partnered with DraftKings for online betting and gaming – continued to lead the way in gross online casino revenue, bringing in $13.7m. The tribe made a further $46,953 in revenue from mobile-on-reservation gaming, with its own Foxwoods-branded app.

Meanwhile, the Mohegan Tribe – which partnered with FanDuel – brought in $7.8m in gross revenue.

The combined online casino revenue came on $743.9m worth of stakes, with $493.6m staked with the Mashantucket Pequot Tribe and $249.5m with Mohegan.

In addition, players staked $17.2m worth of promotional credits with the Mashantucket Pequot Tribe and $1.0m with Mohegan.

Connecticut online gaming revenue reaches $18.8m in January

Online gaming and in Connecticut generated net gaming revenue of $18.8m in January, 15.6% higher than the net revenue recorded in December 2021.

This revenue was after promotions, which came to $3.6m. Before promotions the total was $22.4m.

Out of the $18.8m in revenue, the Mashantucket Pequot Tribe brought in $11.1m and the Mohegan Tribe the remaining $7.7m.

Players staked $780.0m on online gaming, a fall of 4.2% from December.

The Mashantucket Pequot Tribe’s Foxwoods Resort Casino saw the most staked, at $502.5m- a decline of 4% month-on-month. Customers staked the second highest amount with Mohegan Digital, hitting $277m. Mobile-on-premise stakes at the Mashantucket Pequot Tribe’s Foxwoods Resort Casino – mobile gaming that took place at the casino itself – made up the remaining $440,460.

Player winnings topped $757.3m, down 4.6% month-on-month, with the highest amount – $488.6m – coming from Mashantucket Pequot Tribe’s Foxwoods Resort Casino.
